Pamporovo ski holidays at the top official category come down to two hotels, and both stand in the centre of the resort. Each has a spa, an indoor pool, fitness facilities, a ski wardrobe and a ski bus, so the choice turns on size, views, conference space and the details each hotel publishes.
Pamporovo ski holidays at the top category: two hotels, one centre
For ski holidays in Pamporovo, Bulgaria, only two hotels hold the top official category, and they are neighbours. Orlovets Hotel says it stands in the centre of the resort at 1,600 m, near the Municipal Hall and opposite Perelik Hotel. Perelik describes a central position near the ski area, with fast access to the main ski centres.
Location will not split them, so look at size, views and group space. Orlovets gives 105 rooms and apartments and Perelik gives 130 to 131 rooms. Both list a spa, an indoor pool, fitness, a ski bus, a ski wardrobe and a library, and neither is adults-only.
Orlovets: what the hotel offers
Orlovets Hotel
Orlovets is a ten-storey building, and the hotel says every unit has a terrace looking out over the ski runs, Snezhanka Tower and the Rhodope pine forest.
Inside, it lists Wi-Fi, a restaurant, parking, a spa, an indoor pool, fitness, a library, a ski wardrobe and a ski bus. It sells winter season packages as well as Christmas and New Year breaks, so ask early if you plan to travel over the holidays.
It suits skiers who want a room with a view and a simple base in the middle of the resort. Check availability
Perelik: what the hotel offers
Perelik Hotel
Perelik was renovated in 2018 and 2019 and has 130 rooms. Its spa and wellness centre, Body & Soul, was built in 2019 and offers treatments and fitness, and the hotel says its pool is the largest swimming pool in the resort.
Perelik also has a convention centre with six halls and 1,200 seats in total, which makes it the natural choice for a ski trip that mixes meetings with time on the slopes. It also lists a ski bus, a ski wardrobe and a library.
It suits spa lovers, groups and anyone combining work with a ski week. Check availability

Practical note
What to ask before you book
Confirm the practical ski details with the hotel directly. Ask:
- where the nearest lift or piste starts, and how you get there in ski boots;
- when the ski bus runs, where it stops and whether it is included;
- whether it can arrange ski hire, lift passes or ski school, and how to book them;
- how to reach the resort from your arrival airport, and whether transfers are offered;
- what your chosen plan includes from the first meal to the last, and when the restaurant serves.
See both hotels on Pamporovo hotels, set the resort against its rivals in Bansko vs Borovets vs Pamporovo, or compare other resorts across Bulgaria.
Questions
Which hotels in Pamporovo hold the top official category?
Two: Orlovets Hotel and Perelik Hotel. Both appear in the national tourist register at the top category. Orlovets gives 105 rooms and apartments and Perelik gives 130 to 131 rooms. Orlovets says the two stand opposite each other in the centre of the resort, so your choice rests on facilities, views and group space rather than location.
Are the Pamporovo top-category hotels close to the ski area?
Both say so. Perelik describes a central position near the ski area with fast access to the main ski centres, and Orlovets says every unit has a terrace with a view of the ski runs. Neither gives a walking distance to a lift, so ask the hotel how you reach the slopes each morning.
Do Orlovets and Perelik have a spa and an indoor pool?
Yes, both do. Orlovets lists a spa, an indoor pool and fitness. Perelik has its Body & Soul spa, built in 2019, with treatments and fitness, plus a pool the hotel calls the largest in the resort. Ask each hotel about spa opening hours and treatment booking before you arrive.
Is there a ski bus from the hotels?
Yes. Both hotels list a ski bus and a ski wardrobe among their facilities. Ask the hotel when the bus runs, where it stops and whether it is included in your stay, so you can plan your first morning on the slopes without waiting around in ski boots.
Which board plans do the two hotels publish?
Both hotels publish the same two plans: bed and breakfast, and half board. What a plan covers, and which meal it starts with, is set by each hotel, so read the hotel's own package page for your dates before you book, and ask about anything that matters to you, such as dinner times.
